groomsmen with er personality
Acting like an asshole at your friend’s wedding doesn’t just embarrass you, it hurts the groom – your friend – and causes long-term friendship problems if you’ve done something the bride considers unforgivable. Sandy warns other groomsmen “Don’t be that guy!” and tells the true story of an epic groomsman disaster so bad the guy had to leave before the ceremony.

 broken engagement rignt

Ending an engagement is difficult under any circumstances, but no matter the reasons for ending it, you should do the deed in private. Have as much compassion as possible. Do NOT do what Sandy’s horrible client did to his bride, in a coffee shop in front of their wedding planner, the day before the wedding. Sandy tells that mortifying story to demonstrate how not to cancel your wedding.

Placecards can be a great idea, but they’re not written in stone. Guests move around, and sometimes even switch around cards to make their table more fun for themselves. Expect this to happen, and don’t flip out on your wedding planner if something goes wrong. Sandy tells the story of where her placecard PTSD originated.

Elizabeth Carroll and Her Blended Family

Make your mate your top priority in order to build a working foundation for a new marriage, says Sandy’s guest Elizabeth Carroll, star of WEtv’s “Marriage Boot Camp” reality TV series. Oftentimes, conflict arises in blended families because the parents have their children on a pedestal, and don’t adjust to put their new spouse first. Elizabeth says you have to put your spouse first or the marriage won’t survive.
